Dress Rehearsals
Dress rehearsals will be held Thursday, June 11 at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center. Attendance is required. Rehearsal is imperative not only to your dancer’s success, but to the other dancers’ as well — they need to be familiar with the stage and understand entering and exiting instructions from the wings.
All dancers must arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled rehearsal time, in costume and ready to perform. Please note that we do not rehearse the dances in show order. Bring all costumes, the dance bag and all dance shoes — and label everything.
Once you arrive, please come into the auditorium and sit with your child’s class. If you arrive late and miss their dance, we will not be able to repeat it because of time restraints, so please plan ahead.
Good to know: we limit dress rehearsal attendance to one supervising adult per dancer. Photos and video of your dancer on stage are welcome during dress rehearsal only — not during the recital.

Tickets, Wristbands & Video
All attendees need a wristband to enter the auditorium. Your recital fee includes 4 wristbands per dancer, and they are good for all four shows. Additional wristbands are $10 each, available the last week of classes or at the door on recital day.
Our recitals are professionally recorded by Sharpshooters Video Productions, and your recital fee includes a free digital copy of every show. DVDs are still available for purchase directly from Sharpshooters if you prefer.
Programs go on sale at the desk the last week of classes for $5. You receive two free copies with the purchase of an ad.
Recital Day Arrival
All dancers must arrive in costume 30 minutes before their show time. Dancers report backstage and follow the signs to their waiting area.
Our younger classes need a “stage mom” to help supervise backstage. Your dancer’s teacher will let you know if the class needs one — if so, you’ll sign your child in with their stage mom in the Green Room no more than 30 minutes before show time. Older dancers without stage moms will find their assigned dressing room.
The auditorium opens for seating 30 minutes before show time. No one other than staff or parent volunteers is allowed in the auditorium before then, and no one may attend without a wristband.
Audience Etiquette
So the show runs smoothly and professionally, please don’t get up and down during the performance — it’s disruptive to other families and takes away from the atmosphere for the dancers. If you must leave your seat, please do so between dances.
No photography or video during the recital. The show is professionally recorded by Sharpshooters, and every family receives a free digital copy of all four shows.
After the Show
Only the Saturday 6:00 pm show has an intermission. Combo I, Combo II and Tot’s Hip Hop Bop classes may be picked up in the Green Room at that time. Please note that dancers picked up at intermission may not participate in the Curtain Call. They’re welcome to watch the rest of the show with a parent after putting on a cover-up or changing out of costume.
All older dancers in the dressing rooms without a stage mom are expected to remain backstage until the end of the show, and will meet their parents in the lobby afterward. No friends or family members are allowed backstage.
If you have any questions about dress rehearsal or recital, please ask! Our goal is for the whole process to run as smoothly as possible and to be a rewarding experience for every dancer and everyone cheering them on. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and your family.
