Virtual plan to keep our students dancing

 In News

Dear Dance Families,

Our instructors have worked to come up with creative solutions to keep our dancers moving, learning and having fun during this uncertain time. We believe if we can provide some normalcy and joy to our dance kiddos, then we hopefully can continue to be a benefit to our dance family. Although our studio’s physical location will be closed until further notice, we will be opening our digital door, providing you with a virtual dance experience through a variety of ways.

Each class was sent an email to join a BAND app. This is a free and user friendly app that can be used on any device, including your smart phones, tablets and computers. Once you have downloaded the app and received your invite to join you will have direct contact with your teacher and other classmates. Teachers will be uploading either a pre-recorded dance class video OR will be going live on the BAND app at your dancer’s regularly scheduled class time. Dancers are encouraged to comment and upload their own videos on their class’ BAND for feedback and encouragement.

In addition, some classes will be occasionally supplementing with Zoom, which is a remote conferencing service so teachers and students can interact in real time. More information regarding Zoom will be available from your teacher on the BAND app.

We know these are very difficult times for all of us. Therefore, The Dance Gallery would like to extend a 25% tuition discount to all families beginning April 1st and continuing until we are able to open our studio doors again. If you paid for the semester in full we will credit your account at the end of the semester. It is our plan to keep our teachers employed and our studio doors open for years to come. We greatly appreciate your support during this time!

Recital information: Costumes will be passed out as soon as we are able to open our doors. We are continuing to stay positive and believe that our recital will take place. We will keep everyone updated with recital news in the weeks to come.

We all have a responsibility to do our part in minimizing the impact of COVID-19 throughout our community. The safety of our dance families is our number one priority. While this closure has impacted the classes in our studio, we will continue to deliver the dance experiences you know and love at The Dance Gallery, just in a slightly different way. Now more than ever, we believe that it is important for your child to have normalcy and routine and the opportunity to be active and have fun!

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Christine Hayes, Owner/Director
