It’s Show week!!!! …and we are SO excited!!! The staff and students have worked so hard this year and we can’t wait to show off our great performing artists!

Friday, June 15th at 6:30PM and Saturday, June 16th at 2:30PM and 6:30PM

Dress Rehearsals

Dress Rehearsals are Thursday, June 14th at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center

It is required that your dancer attend their dress rehearsal(s), not only for their success, but for others in the dance too. They need to be familiar with the stage and understand entering and exiting instructions from the wings. We are not rehearsing the dances in “show order” because we want to get the younger dancers finished early. Bring their costume(s), dance bag and all of their shoes and label their name in everything. When you arrive to the Performing Arts Center, sit with your class in the auditorium. We will call them up to the stage when it is their turn to rehearse. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THEIR DRESS REHEARSAL TIME IN YOUR RECITAL PACKET OR CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO REVIEW THE ORDER. If you arrive late and miss their dance, we will not be able to do it again because of time constraints.

Bring your cameras to dress rehearsals!! You may take pictures and video during the dress rehearsal ONLY!

After the class dances on stage, please proceed to the lobby for their group picture. We would like ALL dancers to be in the picture for the studio gallery even if you do not plan on purchasing one.


Friday, June 15th at 6:30PM and Saturday, June 16th at 2:30PM and 6:30PM. PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THEIR SHOW DAY IN YOUR RECITAL PACKET. All dancers must arrive in costume 30 minutes before show time and report back stage. There will be signs directing you to their designated waiting room back stage. Younger dancers will need to be signed in with their stage mom(s). Once your dancer is back stage you may take your seat in the auditorium. The auditorium will be open for seating 30 minutes before show time. No one other than staff and volunteers will be allowed in the auditorium before this time.

***Troupe dancers must arrive 1 hour before show time and report to the dressing room.

In order for the show to run smoothly and professionally, we are requesting that you do not get up during the show. It is very disruptive to the other parents and takes away from the “performance atmosphere”. If you must get up and leave the auditorium, please be courteous to the dancers on stage and their parents and only leave your seat during applause.

At the end of the show we will have a curtain call where all dancers will return to the stage for one last bow. After this, classes will return to their waiting area backstage. ONE adult needs to sign out their combo dancer from the stage mom. Older dancers will meet their guest in the lobby after the show.

The backstage areas can get very crowded and therefore, no guests (including parents) will be allowed in the backstage area or in the dressing rooms unless that parent is an assigned stage mom or volunteer.

Our show is being professionally videotaped on recital day. You may pre-order your recital DVD from Sharp Shooters on their website. Their websites is listed under “Quick Links” in this email or you can pick up the order form at recital.

Final Thoughts

Our last class day will be held on Wednesday, June 13th. Make sure dancers come to these last couple of classes so that they feel well prepared for recital!

Recital Progams and T-Shirts are now available! Programs are $3 at the studio and at dress rehearsal and $5 show day. If you advertised in the program you will receive 2 free programs. T-Shirts are $18 (plus tax).

It’s hard to believe that this dance year is coming to a close. We really appreciate all of our families and feel very honored that you have placed your trust in us for your child’s dance education.

Personally, I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to share my passion of dance with your children. The Dance Gallery is committed to passing down the legacy of dance and striving to provide each student the BEST dance education for years to come….I hope you’ll continue to join us!
