Happy October!

We are off to a great start this year! We are enjoying seeing familiar faces and getting to know some new ones too!

We are very proud of the dance community we are building here at The Dance Gallery and we always appreciate you telling your friends about us! If you know of anyone looking to DANCE please tell them how much you love The Dance Gallery. We have referral coupons in the office you can pick up and pass out to your friends. If the coupons are returned with a new registration, both of you will receive a credit on your account! Thank you again for your continued support throughout the last decade!

Please take a moment to read the important news listed below…

Our Make-up Policy

If your dancer is absent and you would like to schedule a make-up class, you must call on or before the day your child is absent. Almost all of our children’s combo classes are FULL so we can only schedule one child at a time for a make-up so that we don’t overwhelm the instructor with too many dancers in the class. For children’s combo classes only two make-up classes are allowed in the fall semester and one in the spring semester. (Older dancers in technique classes need to talk with their instructor regarding make-up classes.)

We do not pro-rate tuition due to absences.

Halloween Week

Your dancer may come to class dressed in their Halloween costume the week before Halloween (Oct. 24th – Oct. 31st). They must be able to move freely in them and they must wear their dance shoes. The studio will be CLOSED on Halloween (Wednesday Oct. 31st) for all afternoon and evening classes only. Morning classes on the 31st will be held as usual.

Believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about costumes and recital! The recitals will be Friday, June 14th and/or Saturday, June 15th at the NEW Stony Point High School Performing Arts Center. Dress Rehearsal will be Thursday, June 13th. Please reserve these dates. More specific details – including your classes specific rehearsal time and show date(s) will be available early Spring.

Our recital theme this year is…
“Revisted and Remixed: Celebrating Our Greatest Hits of 10 Years!”

Time flies when you’re having fun! Our teachers are having a blast reminiscing about TDG’s past dances over our last 10 years! We can’t wait to share some of these greatest hits with you again! All dancers will be getting a costume invoice and a recital agreement the first week of November. We will begin to measure children for their costumes in November as well. Costume payments will be due by December 1st. Please let the office staff know if your child will NOT be participating in the recital.

Tuition and Drop Policy Reminder

If you are paying your tuition monthly, it is due on the 1st of the month. A $10 late fee is added to all accounts paid after the 10th. If you choose to drop a class, we must receive written notice before the 1st of the month. Otherwise, your account will be charged the current month’s tuition. Thank you!! You can pay your tuition online by clicking Here!

Jazz Workshop with Desiree Robbins and Tyler Muhlenkamp

We are excited to bring Desiree Robbins and Tyler Muhlenkamp back to The Dance Gallery. Desiree is a professional dancer and choreographer from L.A. and founder of the dance convention Dance League. Tyler is also a professional dancer residing in Orlando. He has been dancing at Disney World in front of Cinderella’s castle for years and is also on staff at Dance League.

The 3 hour workshop will be focusing on jazz progressions, leaps and turns and musical theater. This is great for the dance student who enjoys professional conventions but desires more personal interaction from the instructors. These workshops are OPEN to ALL dancers ages 8 and up. Dancers do not need to be students of The Dance Gallery to attend. Space is limited. Call The Dance Gallery to find out how to reserve your spot – (512) 218-0084.
