I can’t believe May is here! We are getting SO excited about our upcoming show, “A Season to Dance”! Please make sure your dancer is attending class every week so they will feel confident and do their best on stage!

Studio will be closed Memorial Day – Monday, May 29th.

 

June Classes and Tuition

All students will have 2 weeks of classes in June before the recital. The last day of classes will be Wednesday, June 14th. Your June tuition will be prorated (1/2 of the normal rate). All accounts must be paid in full in order for your child to participate in the recital.

*All dancers were given a recital packet last month with dress rehearsal and show information. Please let us know if you have any questions.

**Primrose dance students can now pick up their costume and recital packet at the studio.

Summer AND Fall Registration

We are currently registering for Summer classes and camps! Make sure you sign up soon…some classes and camps are almost FULL.

The Fall schedule will be available on Monday, May 22nd.

Each student will be given a recommendation form on what classes he or she is eligible to take next year. Please trust that the instructor will recommend classes that are age/skill appropriate for each student. It is important that our students are in the appropriate technique classes so that we can ensure their success and confidence.

Fall Registration will open to current students on May 22nd. Open enrollment for NEW students will begin Saturday, June 3rd. Classes will fill quickly so if you plan on joining us again next year please register BEFORE June 3rd to guarantee your dancer’s spot.

Upcoming Deadlines

Flower Orders

Flower orders for recital are due by May 20th. All proceeds from the flower sales will go to our dance troupe for future conventions, competitions and more! Flower bouquets will vary in color so that they are not identical. These bouquets are always beautiful and last for days!

Flower order forms will be passed out next week in classes.

Bouquets must be picked up at the recital before the show begins. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR DANCE TROUPE!

Recital Ads

Recital ads are due by May 20th! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to advertise your business or congratulate your hard working dancer. Please send your pictures, text or pre-designed ad to [email protected]

***Keepsake programs will be available for $3 at the studio the week of recital or $5 at the door. Families who advertise in the program, will receive 2 free programs.

Recital T-Shirts

“A Season To Dance” recital T-shirts will be available for purchase next week! Shirts are $15, plus tax and come in Child X-Small through Adult 2XL. See the front desk to purchase.

Dress Rehearsal and Recital

“A Season To Dance”

Dress Rehearsals are held at The Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center, Thursday, June 15th.

Dress Rehearsals are required in order to participate in the recital. Please refer to your specific rehearsal time in your recital packet. A copy of the dress rehearsal schedule is at the front desk for your review as well.

Recitals are held at the Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center – Friday, June 16th at 6:30PM and Saturday, June 17th at 2:30PM and 6:30PM.

Have you purchased your dancer’s recital tights yet? We sell Capezio tights at the studio for your convenience!

Dance Team Auditions

Auditions for the 2017-2018 Season

The Dance Gallery’s selective teams are performance-driven programs that provide a higher level of training and performance opportunities for the serious dancer. These select groups will represent The Dance Gallery and perform at numerous community events, competitions and have opportunities to attend dance conventions throughout the year. There is a separate cost for our dance teams. If you are interested in learning more about these programs please pick up an information packet in the office and plan to attend the new parent information meeting.

*There is a $10 audition fee. Please sign up in the office.

TDG’s Performing Dance Troupe (ages 8-18)

This is a competitive program and is not for beginners. To be eligible, dancers must have a solid dance background. New parent information meeting is Monday, June 12th at 6pm.

Auditions Monday, June 19th
  • Dancers ages 8 – 10 (Minis) Audition Time – 4:00-5:00
  • Dancers ages 11 – 12 (Juniors) Audition Time- 5:15-6:15
  • Dancers ages 12 – 15 (Teens) Audition Time – 6:30-7:30
  • Dancers ages 15 – 18 (Seniors) Audition Time – 7:45-8:45

TDG’s Hip Hop Crew (ages 8-18)

This is a competitive program and is not for beginners. To be eligible, dancers must have previous hip hop experience. New parent information meeting is Friday, June 9th at 6:30pm.

Auditions Tuesday, June 20th
  • Dancers ages 8 – 12 Audition Time – 6:00-7:00
  • Dancers ages 13 – 18 Audition Time- 7:15-8:15

TDG’s Petite Performance Team (ages 6-10)

This is a non-competitive dance group for children ages 6-10. The Petite Performance Team is a training program for dancers looking to improve their dance technique, gain performance experience and take their training to the next level.

New parent information meeting is Monday, June 12th at 5pm.
