Troupe Dance Concert Benefiting Happy Birthdays!

Don’t miss a wonderful evening of dance for a great cause! The Dance Gallery is home to an award-winning dance troupe made up of dancers ages 9-18. These dancers will be sharing their talent and love of dance to raise money for a wonderful local organization – Happy Birthdays.

The mission at Happy Birthdays is to provide a birthday party for homeless and foster care children. For many of these children it will be their FIRST birthday party EVER. Did you know they provide approximately 70 birthday parties every month for children in this area? How wonderful and tragic at the same time! It’s hard to imagine that many children in our area are in need of love and recognition on their special day.

Performance will take place on Friday, February 10th at 7pm at The Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center (Round Rock Performing Arts Center).

This special evening of dance will also include guest speakers from the Happy Birthdays organization and silent auction baskets.

Tickets are now on sale at the studio:

  • General Admission – $15
  • Children/Students (ages 3-18) – $10

***TDG students 10 years and younger will receive FREE admission with the purchase of an adult ticket. See the office for more details.

Tickets will be available at the door for $3 more.

All proceeds go to Happy Birthdays!

Dress Rehearsals and Recitals!

Dress Rehearsals will be held Thursday, June 15th at the Round Rock Performing Arts Center. This is a mandatory rehearsal to ensure the success of ALL dancers! After Spring Break your class will be given a specific rehearsal time to practice on stage. Please note that this is a weekday and your dancer may have a rehearsal time during working hours. We have reserved the theater all day to make sure that all of our classes have the opportunity to rehearse their dance(s) on stage.

The Recitals will be held Friday, June 16th at 6:30PM and Saturday, June 17th at 2:30PM and 6:30PM at the Round Rock Performing Arts Center. Most students will be in only ONE show. For example, ALL combo classes, creative movement and Boogie Babies will be in only ONE show. However, if your dancer takes multiple classes, he or she may be in more than one show. Your exact show date(s) and time(s) will be posted after Spring Break!

***The Round Rock Performing Arts Center is across the drive from McNeil High School. For a look at the theater and directions Click Here!

Recital Fee is Now Due!

The recital fee is $55/student or $65/family. This fee is necessary for the auditorium rental and technical production crew. This fee can be included in your monthly tuition payment. General admission to our show is FREE! You do NOT need to purchase tickets to our Recital.

***If your account is set-up for autopay, the recital fee was deducted from your account along with your monthly tuition.

Here are a few reminders…

  • Attendance is very important for each dancer to be successful, especially now that students are learning recital choreography. However, please don’t let your child come to class sick. They need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to class.
  • We have noticed some dancers not dressed according to The Dance Gallery’s dress code. Dancer’s hair must be secured up and out of their face. A leotard and tights must be worn in all classes (exception – Boogie Babies, Hip Hop and Tap classes). Ballet skirts and jazz pants/shorts are okay. If you have any questions, please ask your child’s teacher.
  • Please remind the young dancers to go to the bathroom BEFORE class! It quickly becomes an “epidemic” when one child leaves the room to go to the bathroom.

With Valentine’s Day on the mind, I want you to know how very much your children are LOVED by everyone here at The Dance Gallery. I realize you have a choice in your child’s dance education and I feel truly blessed that they are a part of our dance family!

Sincerely,

Christine Hayes -Owner/Director
The Dance Gallery
